Tech electric vehicle brand Selex Motors has just announced the addition of 5 new automatic battery swapping stations in the central areas of Hai Chau and Ngu Hanh Son districts. This strategic move aims to serve self-drive tourist rentals. Selex's 2-minute battery-swapping technology completely eliminates range anxiety for tourists traveling to distant spots like Son Tra Peninsula or Hai Van Pass. Rental points partnering with Selex Motors have also started offering rental packages that include unlimited free battery swaps for 24 hours.
Domestic EV brand Dat Bike recorded a 35% surge in rentals for its Weaver++ model over the past day following the launch of the "24-Hour Da Nang Backpacking" package. With a promotional price starting from just 180,000 VND/day, tourists receive doorstep delivery at Da Nang International Airport or beachfront hotels along My Khe. The package includes a digital map integrated with Dat Charge fast-charging stations across the city, allowing an 80% charge in just 20-30 minutes.
According to a quick survey of accommodation and transport services in the An Thuong tourist area (Ngu Hanh Son), more than half of traditional motorcycle rental shops have completed converting a portion of their fleet to VinFast Evo200 and Feliz S electric models. The reason is their outstanding range of over 150km per charge, fashionable designs perfect for check-in photos, and smart GPS navigation systems helping tourists easily find their way.
To promote the "Environmental City" project, the Da Nang Tourism Services Alliance has launched a shocking flat-rate promotion. Tourists booking electric motorcycles through partner apps or directly at 3-to-5-star hotel receptions can enjoy flat rental rates of just 120,000 VND to 150,000 VND/day for popular electric scooter models. Additionally, renters receive a free green gift set including an eco-friendly bamboo water bottle and a Da Nang eco-tourism map.
Not limited to the city center, the battery-swapping electric motorcycle wave is spreading to suburban homestays near Hoa Vang and the foot of Hai Van Pass. Homestay owners share that foreign tourists highly prefer this model due to its quietness and lack of engine noise, allowing them to fully experience the pristine nature of Da Nang. Partnerships between homestay chains and professional electric bike rental companies provide highly convenient, closed-loop vehicle delivery and return solutions.
